About
I love the tactile sense of throwing on the wheel and the meditative state that comes with making ceramics.
I studied ceramics with Jeff Margolin at UC Berkeley from 1982-1986 and have shown my work in San Francisco, Petaluma, Seattle and San Diego.
My pieces are generally wheel thrown but often combine wheel and hand built elements.
Low fire glazing processes complement my work best and a modern adaptation of the 15th Century Japanese Raku process is my favorite.
Most of my work involves the construction of vessels and large open platters.
